Desk study on gender gap and financial education in Europe

Specific Objectives

To understand the state of the art of the gender gap in financial education in Europe regarding the main Member States and the project partner countries.

ACTIVITYRESULT

Sharing of research methodology among partners

A document with information sources to be privileged (governmental sources, official statistics, academic journals) and a set of quantitative and qualitative indicators provided for each country.

Research activity on gender gap and financial education in Europe

A document with focus on the European countries emerging at the top of the Global Gender Gap Index 2022 (WEF, 2022): Iceland, Finland, Norway (first, second and third worldwide) and Sweden (fifth, after New Zealand).

Writing a report containing the emerged results

A final report in English structured as follows:

  • Description of the current situation in terms of gender gaps and financial education
  • Examples of policies (governance) and good practices
  • Results from the collection of quantitative data, also in aggregated form, with critical commentary
  • Indications on topics to be explored further through the questionnaire and on training activities to be implemented.
