The project's applicant

The Arezzo Innovation Foundation is a public organization aimed at facilitating technology transfer and innovation within the Arezzo area and local businesses, acting as a link between public, private, and European institutions in support of regional development and innovation programs, with particular focus on the Industry 4.0 Plan and technology transfer. Its main activities are centred on European projects, networking, providing laboratories and co-working spaces, and training programs. Arezzo Innovation is engaged in regional, national, and European projects designed to promote innovation, competitiveness, and the development of the territorial system. It can monitor local production in Arezzo and the province, map available resources, and identify centres of excellence and emerging entities of interest to activate collaborations and business matching. Simultaneously, in partnership with universities and research centres, the Foundation defines short and long-term forecasts, and checks conditions, opportunities, and risks that companies may encounter in the future to better direct Research and Development activities

The partners

Founded in 2011, OpenCom is a private social enterprise, based in Arezzo (Tuscany, Italy) active in nonformal and work-related training, research and social responsibility, integrated reporting and sustainability reporting. Our expertise is related to the development of innovative training modules that respond to new labor market trends and provide young people with skills that foster their employability.
OpenCom uses active learning methodologies in order to enhance independent learning, lifelong learning, critical and systematic thinking of individuals, supporting sustainable employability and career development. In addition, OpenCom has worked several times within Erasmus+ projects related to the School sector through projects focused on developmental skills (entrepreneurship, sustainability education, STEM subjects, mechanics and arts and crafts through the Montessori method and flexibility, student inclusion and support for dropout prevention) and on inclusion (of LGBTQIA+, blind and visually impaired, and students with learning disabilities.

MEUS is a private organization based in Valencia, Spain, that aims to enhance the capacities of individuals in their environment, both at a professional and personal level. Therefore, it focuses on developing the competencies of individuals at every stage of their lives, from school to adult education. MEUS develops specific training for trainer trainers, intermediary agents, teachers, among others. All our training activities are offered on-site or online, collaborating with IT experts to develop digital solutions that align with our philosophy.
MEUS primarily focuses on sustainable development and takes environmental concerns, sustainable growth, and local development as a key element of its missions, promoting behavioural changes in society to adapt to current needs (sustainable consumption, waste optimization, etc.). MEUS explores and promotes sustainable business models, seeking the implementation of CSR best practices. MEUS strongly supports the new and growing sectors of the economy and is attentive to social changes, which is why we are particularly committed to issues such as the green economy (and green skills), the orange economy (culture), ICT, adaptation to the aging population, and new demographic characteristics that generate a higher demand for personal services, etc.

Arise

The ARISE association (Austrian Centre for Inclusion, Research and Sustainable Development), based in Vienna, Austria, aims to support and empower individuals on their journey towards global change by altering their lifestyle and attitudes towards sustainable living. Our vision is a planet free from hazards and pollution, where everyone lives together in equality, prosperity, and peace. ARISE aims to provide community-based coaching and educational and career opportunities for disadvantaged people, including immigrants, refugees, unemployed individuals, NEETs, those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, and people with disabilities. Furthermore, we strive to promote social inclusion and education for immigrants and refugees, encouraging their employment in STEM fields, where they are still underrepresented, and educating them on civic integration, rights, and civil commitments.
ARISE’s target for activities ranges from preschool-aged children through kindergarten to youth, adults, and older people, with a particular focus on improving the situation of people with social, economic, educational, and physical disadvantages – immigrants, refugees, unemployed individuals, NEETs, and people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and with disabilities

EEB is a dynamic enterprise established to foster vocational training in the Plovdiv region (Bulgaria) and to internationalize the local training processes. EEB’s fields of interest encompass sustainable development, the central role of the individual, community social economy, subsidiarity, integration, and the exchange of knowledge, technologies, and cultures. EEB’s main activities can be clustered into Project Management (following the PRINCE2 methodology), Needs Analysis Lab, non-formal education, and ICT.
EEB is engaged in vocational training for all ages (young students, adults, organizations, etc.), focusing on including disadvantaged groups. EEB is highly active in KA1 projects, particularly in student mobility (outbound and inbound), teacher mobility, and job shadowing (thus addressing both youth and adults). In recent years, however, EEB has broadened its horizons, beginning to work also in KA2 projects, within which it has engaged with secondary school students (SKILLED) and with rural entrepreneurs and businesses (OREN).
